Thinking Might be Real

 

It Keeps You Holding It

My prints make me see what I have never ever seen before. The happiness and the dramatics in the existence that we call our life, and that I will call my life as an image. The joy of the aesthetic, and the beauty in the uglyness, shows stories that I can tell with lines and shadows from rememberance of my childhood. The authenticity of prints and drawing, combined with photography on the surface of a medium, opens and tells a story. To transform the reality from three dimentions to a surface in two dimentions, make sense to my creation and becomes an important experience to me. It’s all about reality in all dimentions.

 

To me, the printing process is strongly connected to the final version of the image. This demands a combination of the absolute right paper related to the image, and most of all, the quality of the paper and the ink itself. When I decided to use a Canson paper for my digital prints, it was based on my experience with the use of the same ever lasting quality paper used before for my drypoint and lithography. For a printmaker, black can never be black enough, and grey can be almost too white.
